About Freelance Web Developer Stewart Doxey
Twenty years building for the web. The first ten were agency-side - hundreds of projects, every kind of client, every kind of deadline. It was a solid foundation, but I always knew where I was heading.
Seven years ago I went full-time freelance. Not because the work dried up or because I got made redundant. Because the best conversations I had were always with the business owners themselves - and I wanted more of that. No project managers relaying messages. No six-person email chains where the brief gets diluted by the time it reaches the person actually building the thing.
When you work with me, you talk to me. I write the code, I make the technical decisions, and I'm the one who picks up your email. That directness is the whole point.
